New Early Years Classrooms

In direct response to the school's own evaluations as verified by Ofsted, our new Reception classrooms opened last week. Situated on the main site, as opposed to the previous separate block, these two newly refurbished, redecorated and redesigned classrooms give our Reception children a much bigger and flexible environment in which to learn and play safely.

The location also gives direct access through their new specially built attached playground, which links onto the main playground and the forest area.

The toilet block is also brand new and has been newly designed. Next steps will be to purchase laptops for the children to use, along with outdoor all in one suits for continuous outdoor play.

Early Years Playground

As part of the redevelopment and improvement in learning areas for our Reception classes, Yenton had extensive work undertaken during the holidays. Here are some shots of the work going on during August.

The playground area gives reception children a proper fully functioning learning environment – the next step is to hopefully purchase a canopy to go over part of the playground so that the children can learn and play all year long in rain or shine!
