  • Ofsted and Performance Data

Our school was inspected by Ofsted inspectors on 30th/31st January 2024 when we were once again judged to be a good school, with our Early years provision judged as outstanding

This is a fantastic result and one that we are all proud of, especially given the hard work put in by all the members of our school community; pupils, staff, governors and parents. We would like to thank you all for the work you have put in, and continue to put into our school, to maintain our constant drive for improvement.

Below, we have picked out some of the very many positive comments about our school, staff and governors.

  • We are a GOOD school.
  • All areas of the school have been judged as GOOD (quality of education; Behaviour and attitudes; Personal development and Leadership and management)
  • Our Reception classes and provision have been judged as OUTSTANDING
  • Our school is a “warm and welcoming place to learn”
  • Our school has “high ambitions for every pupil” and “Staff want all pupils to succeed”
  • Our school has “embedded it’s values of respectful, excellent, successful, proud, exploring communication and teamwork - RESPECT - into many aspects of school life”
  • Pupils in our school “feel safe in school and know that trusted adults will help them deal with any worries”
  • Pupils value learning in the outdoors
  • Our school has designed “an ambitious curriculum for all, including pupils with Special Educational Needs and disabilities (SEND)”
  • The teaching of early reading is strong
  • The language rich Reception provision prepares children well for key stage 1
  • The school provides highly effective personal development
  • Pupils have a well developed understanding of tolerance and respect
  • Pupils have a secure understanding of how to keep safe. This includes on line or in the real world
  • Clear expectations help pupils behave very well
  • The arrangements for safeguarding are effective

We are all immensely proud of the achievement of all of our school community – this is a richly deserved result and is testament to the hard work by everyone, but it is only a milestone on our journey. We will continue our work to make Yenton School the best place it can possibly be for all of our children, to give all of our children the best possible start to their educational careers, and to foster in them a lifelong love of learning.
