Harvest Festival - October 2011
On Friday 7th October Yenton Primary School enjoyed their annual Harvest Festival assembly, run by 5N and supported by many parents.
5N taught us the meaning of Harvest and how lucky we are that people work hard for us to produce the food. There was a fantastic rap, songs and role plays, all of which everyone really enjoyed.
During the harvest song, every class brought their box of food forward to give to Mr Cadwallader, our Headteacher. Hundreds of tins of food and produce were sent in by the families of Yenton children, demonstrating incredible generosity and the caring ethos of our school and community.
The food donated was shared between St Basils for the homeless and the Orphanage Road Residential home.
